OUR STORY

Since the late 19th century, our family has honored the centuries-old craft of working the vine and the wine. Alfred Senlis, followed by his son Raymond, then by his daughter Jeanne and her husband Henri Loison-Senlis, all devoted themselves to keeping this passion alive. Yves Loison, the fourth generation of winegrowers, in turn carried on this legacy, continually improving vineyard care and the methods employed. Over the years, his champagnes have evolved, shaped by his vision of wine and of the world around us. Today, strengthened by this family heritage, his son Clovis brings new ideas and fresh energy to extend the work of his predecessors, constantly seeking to improve vineyard practices and refine the art of winemaking.

OUR VINEYARD

The Champagne Yves Loison vineyard spans three villages in Champagne: Prouilly, Vandeuil, and Ludes.
Prouilly and Vandeuil, located in the Saint-Thierry massif north of Reims, benefit from ideal exposure and well-drained soils, producing elegant, refined wines marked by the Meunier grape, which expresses itself with exemplary fruitiness.

Ludes, classified as a Premier Cru in the Montagne de Reims, offers fuller-bodied, fresh wines with a distinctive character.

Our vines, rooted in calcareous and clay-sandy soils, thrive in a healthy, well-drained terroir that ensures consistent quality and authenticity.

OUR COMMITMENT

in sustainable agriculture

Our environment is both our living and working space, and reducing our impact on it is essential for our future. Since 1984, we have practiced sustainable viticulture, and since 2020, we have been certified Viticulture Durable en Champagne (VDC) and Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE). To continuously improve our environmental impact, two key areas guide our approach:

Soil management:This practice promotes soil aeration and decompaction, enhances nutrient availability, and encourages biodiversity. our goal is to achieve zero herbicides.

Carbon footprint reduction: we are progressively developing methods that allow us to maintain the quality of our work while reducing our environmental impact.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

taking the time for precision

After spending some time away from his native land, Clovis felt the need to return to where it all began. A lover of nature and science, he strives to honor both — from vineyard work to dosage and ageing.

Walking through his parcels in Prouilly, Ludes and Vandeuil, he observes every sign of his terroir with great attention. This same precision is reflected in the selection of labels and foils, crafted in every detail to express the style of the House: a commitment to uncompromising quality.

OUR CHAMPAGNE

and time

Some of our vines, over 70 years old, produce grapes of remarkable complexity. Each year, we accompany every vine from pruning to harvest, setting foot in the vineyard dozens of times.

Champagne then requires months and even years of patience for its character to fully emerge. This savoir-faire, inherited from our elders, is carried forward as we plant the vines of tomorrow, craft the cuvées of today, and prepare the bottles you will soon enjoy.

OUR ASSEMBLIES

taking the time for precision

Blending is one of Champagne’s greatest distinctions. It is not only the art of combining different grape varieties, vineyard sites or harvest years; it is also the meeting of generations, professions, personalities and the partners who surround us.

Champagne Yves Loison embodies this vision: a wine that brings together families, friends and collaborators to celebrate life’s moments — whether exceptional by nature, or made exceptional by champagne itself.
